I so wanted some cool photos of Niko and his gorgeous girlfriend to remember this special birthday. It was really freezing today and in order to keep our fingers and toes we had to be really quick with the session. But they still did fab with the posing and looking all cool and I am looking forward to a longer shoot once spring arrives :) Poor things aren't gonna get rid of me now - hehehe

Sneak Peek: Helena = 12 week old perfection

Helena. 12 Wochen alt und mit Sicherheit schon eine Herzensbrecherin. Ihr armer Papa war schon ganz verzweifelt, weil ich soooo lange mit ihr gearbeitet hab und es ihr doch zu kalt werden könnte.. ;-) Aber sie ist einfach so zuckersüß und hat echt alles so cool mitgemacht, dass ich einfach nicht aufhören konnte sie zu fotografieren. Ein riesiges "DANKESCHÖN" an Helena und ihre liebe Family - für Eure Geduld und dass Ihr mich eingeladen habt. Ich hoffe Euch gefallen die ersten Einblicke in Eure Session :)

Helena - 12 weeks old and definitely already a heartbreaker! Her poor Daddy was desperate because I took forever to finish and was all worried that she might get to cold and anyway how much longer NOW????!!!! ;-) But she is just so cute and would stay cool during everything I wanted to try out - I just couldn't stop photographing her. A huge "THANK YOU" to Helena and her lovely family - for your patience and for inviting me to your house. I hope you enjoy the first glimpses of your session :)

Day 42: looking out the windows...

Day 41: to the moon and back...

I love how cool Denis is. 

He doesn't get embarrassed like other boys his age by the fact that he has to learn to knit. He just gets on with it. And he always kisses me goodbye in front of his mates when I drop him off at school. 

And he doesn't boast about his talents - he's just gracious to have them... 

and I could go on and on but really: I just love him to the moon and back :)

Ich finde Denis so unglaublich cool!

Es ist ihm nicht peinlich, wie anderen Jungs in seinem Alter, dass er stricken lernen muss. Er tuts einfach.
Und er gibt mir immer einen Abschiedskuss vor seinen Freunden wenn ich ihn zur Schule bringe.
Und er gibt nie mit seinen Talenten an - er ist einfach dankbar für sie...

Und ich könnte ewig weiterplappern aber eigentlich möcht ich nur sagen:
Ich lieb ihn bis zum Mond und wieder zurück ;-)

Day 40: The last drop...

I was soooo cold all day today - even though I had a roaring fire going non-stop I just couldn't warm up. I quickly ran outside to snap a pic of our water barrel - which we always forget to empty before winter comes... But it really does represent my day ;-)

Day 38: how to keep going

Righto - it's Sunday and I had a lot of editing to do today. 

So apart from Jamie taking the boys out for a VERY long walk to the woods, he had also gotten me this seriously yummy chocolate the other day. 

And this combined with gallons of tea really keeps me happy and going :)

Sonntag - und ich hatte/habe noch immer Unmengen an Bildern zu bearbeiten. 

Jamie hat die Jungs zu einem SEHR langen Spaziergang im Wald "entführt" und mir vor ein paar Tagen diese traumhaft leckere Schoki mitgebracht. Die kombiniert mit unendlich vielen Tassen Tee macht mich happy und (fast) unermüdlich :)

Ich wünsche all meinen wunderbaren Lesern - auch den "anonymen" einen gemütlichen Sonntag Abend! xxx

Little Miss L. Sneak Peek :)

She truly is tons of sweetness, energy and fun bundled into one!!! An incredible little girl - I didn't want to stop photographing her at all and did actually spend 4 hours(!!!) in their beautiful home capturing her cuteness.  (These 4 hours included lovely chats and cake and coffee with her darling mum and dad too though...) 

Thank you for having me try and capture these precious moments for you! It was a fabulous afternoon!

Wenn man tonnenweise Süße, Energie und Spass mischt kommt die kleine L. dabei raus. Was für ein Mädchen - ich wollte gar nicht Heim fahren und verbrachte 4 Stunden in Ihrem wunderschönen zuHause damit, sie zu fotografieren. (diese 4 Stunden includieren jedoch auch sehr nette Unterhaltungen, lecker Kuchen und Kaffee mit ihren Eltern...)

Danke, dass Ihr mich versuchen lassen habt, diese unvergesslichen Momente für Euch einzufangen und festzuhalten! Es war ein toller Nachmittag!!!

Todays Mini-Family-Session Sneak Peek

My friend B. and her two darlings - we didn't have much time to take a few shots for the Dad's birthday next week. The poor man was sent out under the impression that his brother in law needed his expertise on his building site - little did he know... ;-)

Meine Freundin B. und Ihre zwei Lieblinge - wir hatten nicht viel Zeit um ein paar Überraschungsbilder für Papa's Geburtstag zu schiessen. Der arme wurde unter dem Vorwand weggeschickt dass seine Hilfe beim Hausbau seines Schwagers dringenst benötigt wurde... ;-) 

Ihr wart alle 3 super und es hat irrsinnig viel Spass gemacht, Euch zu fotografieren! xxx

Day 36: Flower Power

I made these flower head-bands last night and this darling modelled them today for me...

Gestern Abend hab ich diese Blumen-Haarbänder gemacht und heute hat sie diese kleine Dame für mich gemodellt - sie ist einfach unglaublich süß, oder?!

Day 35: Be mine...

Day 35: Nearly every day I drive past this sweet old fire engine - and everytime it nearly breaks my heart how it has to spend it's days and weeks parked in mud next to a pile of rubbish... should it ever be for sale I might go for it - Wouldn't it be the most amazing photo prop EVER????

Fast jeden Tag fahre ich an diesem süßen alten Feuerwehrauto vorbei -und jedesmal bricht es mir fast das Herz zu sehen, wie es seine Tage und Wochen in Schlamm und neben einem Haufen Schutt geparkt dahinsiecht... Sollte es jemals zum Verkauf stehen könnt ich das schon in Erwägung ziehen - wäre das nicht das BESTE Requisit aller Zeiten???

Day 34: Muddy weather needs happy food!!!

it's raining slush outside... horrible stay in bed all day weather!!! So I made us some vanilla pud to cheer and warm us up :)

Draussen ist den ganzen Tag schon ekelhaftes Schneeregen Matschwetter - richtiges "den-ganzen-Tag-im-Bett-bleib-Wetter"!!! Da das ja nicht wirklich geht hab ich uns Vanillepudding zum Aufwärmen und -heitern gemacht :)

Day 31, 32 & 33: little & big things that make me happy :)

Day 31: The gate to our organic veg garden... since years I want to "renovate" it to bring out it's quaint vintage beauty, and every single time I walk through it I wonder if I'll manage it any time soon! It seems to be in bad spirits with me - a piece of it's wire got stuck in my finger :O
Das Tor zu unserem Gemüsegarten... seit Jahren möchte ich es renovieren um seine wahre Schönheit wiederzufinden und jedes mal wenn ich durchspaziere frage ich mich ob ich es wohl irgendwann bald mal schaffen werde! Es scheint mich nicht so gern zu haben - heute hat es mir ein Stück Draht in den Finger gestochen :O

Day 32: Tí Aisling - Dream-House. 

My mum spent all her engergy and love and imagination and strength on building it. As you can see it is very "americana" inspired. This comes from her undying love for America and I do hope that she will manage a journey to the country of her dreams very soon!!!

Meine Mum hat all ihre Energie und Liebe und Kraft in den Bau dieses Hauses gesteckt. Wie man sieht ist es sehr stark amerikanisch angehaucht. Das kommt von ihrer unsterblichen Liebe zu Amerika und ich wünsche ihr ganz fest, dass sie bald eine Reise in's Land ihrer Träume machen kann!!!

Day 33: My favourite boots of all times... I bought them on my last Trip to MY favourite country of all times: Ireland. That's why they make me happy too - 

so who cares if I can walk properly on those heels: Dance like no one is watching... ;)

Meine allerliebsten Lieblingsstifel... Ich hab sie mir auf meiner letzten Reise in MEIN Lieblingsland gekauft: Irland. Sie machen mich glücklich -
