a bit delayed here's what we were up to Sunday afternoon. 

One of my favourite childhood memories is going to see the horses parade through the little town of Tittmoning, Bavaria. And I think my boys like it just as much as I do ;-)

Beautiful expectations Part II

we were yet again blessed with a gorgeous sunset this evening and so we decided to quickly nip out and take some outdoorsy maternity pictures to go with these indoor ones... 

After all this baby is due within the next 10 days 

and we have to make the most of this gorgeous belly whilst we still can ;-)

And now I am really looking forward to meet the little person in there :)))

A Sunday Surprise! :)

Diese kleine Dame hat ihre Eltern 2 Wochen früher als erwartet "überrascht". Bei ihrem ersten Fotoshooting war sie zarte 11 Tage jung und ich hoffe ganz fest, dass sie trotz all dieser Action noch schlafen konnte und Ihre Mama zu ein paar Stunden Schlaf gekommen ist! Es war mir eine große Ehre, eine der ersten zu sein, die sie kennenlernen durfte! :) Liebe Anna, danke, dass ich diese ersten Momente Deines Sonnenscheins festhalten durfte! xxx

This little lady here surprised her parents 2 weeks early with her arrival. She was just 11 days young for her first photo-shoot and I do hope very much that all this action didn't throw her sleeping pattern entirely so that her Mum could get a few hours of sleep. It was a great honour to be one of the first people to get to meet little S.! Thank you so much Anna for inviting me to your home to capture these moments of your little sunshine! :) xxx

Hochzeitsfotografie an einem anderen Tag??? oder anders gesagt "Trash the dress"???

Jaaaaaaa - ich weiss... was ich so manchmal von mir gebe schockiert so manche Bräute! Wann immer ich den Vorschlag mache, die Hochzeitsportraits doch an einem anderen Tag als der Hochzeit zu machen werde ich mit offenem Mund und entsetzten Augen angeschaut. Waaaasssss - das weiss man dann für immer, dass es gar nicht der Hochzeitstag war.... !!!!!

Ok, 

1. ich war auch mal Braut - ich weiss wie so ein Tag abläuft - es ist alles zeitlich völlig durchgeplant und irgendwas geht sicher schief

2. ich hasse meine eigenen Hochzeitsportraits (meine Haare waren SCHRECKLICH, mein Make-Up hat mich aussehen lassen als hätt ich 3 Tage durchgeheult - ja, sie hat mir kupferfarbigen Lidschatten aufgetragen - ein "Rettungsversuch" meinerseits hat's nicht besser gemacht UND wir sind deswegen viel zu spät gekommen und hatten noch 30min Zeit für Fotos - könnt Ihr Euch vorstellen, wie unheimlich glücklich wir aussehen???...)

3. ich bin ja am Tag der Hochzeit auch da und fotografiere Euch

ABER

an einem anderen Tag 

• haben wir endlos Zeit, 
• können die richtige Tageszeit einplanen um das schönste Licht auszunützen. 
• Ihr habt den Kopf nicht mit 1000 anderen Dingen voll und könnt euch richtig entspannen.
• Wir können jede erdenkliche traumhafte Location aussuchen, 
• wir können echt aussergewöhnliche Fotos planen. 
• Das Kleid darf schmutzig werden!!! 
• Das heisst ich kann Euch in ein Blumenmeer setzten, 
• auf einen Baum klettern lassen, 
• in den See schicken und und und und und 

Und all das ohne jeglichen Zeitdruck, Gäste die ständig auftauchen und zuschauen wollen etc etc etc.

Bitte meine lieben zukünftigen Bräute und die die es noch werden wollen - lasst Euch dies durch den Kopf gehen - ihr werdet so viel glücklicher mit dem Ergebnis sein!!!

Reality bites

I wanted to show you a picture of Ewan on the day after he was so extremely brave at the dentist. He got his first filling and didn't make a peep - without local anaesthetic!!! So, these are the only photos I got of him today - not always sweet ;-)

But for us it's nice to have grumpy shots too - to remember that cute face and how terribly stubborn he can be... (and should he ever have a kid that behaves this loopy sometimes I have proof of where it comes from!!!)

just an ordinary kind of girl...

There are days (well nearly all days) where really girlie things make me happy... 

Like my pink butterfly flask or my new pink flowery shoes... 

Stop rolling your eyes - after all I am the only girl in the house!

Yes, I am a great believer in fate.

Today this was reaffirmed yet again. 

- I got news that an advertising company has expressed interest in my work...

AND the world was blessed this morning with a little baby girl - 

she will be my next newborn model and I cannot wait to meet her in the next few days!!! :)

springy spring...

Don't let these pictures fool you. 

I took them outside just an hour ago but it's really so cold we all have to wrap up in winter coats and put a fire on in the house... Well, let's just pretend-spring then!

Aerodynamically the bumble bee shouldn't be able to fly, 

but the bumble bee doesn't know it, 

so it goes on flying anyway.

 

You reap what you sow

At the beginning of this year my boys went to a group where kids can learn to deal with school stress, concentration and fears using e.g. meditation, happy thinking... They loved every minute of it. 

On the last day of this course they decorated plant pots with all the wishes they had - a healthy environment, freedom, good grades, happy family, health etc. and planted seeds in it, with which those wishes could grow and become true. 

Yesterday was the big day where those tiny plants had to be relocated to a spot in our garden. Fingers crossed they'll soon be big and strong or my boys will be devastated!!!

...sorry to my poor neglected blog and all the people who still come back every day to check if I posted something new...

I am very busy at the moment and can't show you any of the photographs that were taken lately just yet. This daily photo-challenge is indeed a big huge challenge and I am hoping to get back into it at some point soon. Right now I have to make sure I don't keep my sweet, patient clients waiting too long!!!

My friend Mila was over from Dublin for a long weekend and due to all the catching up we had to do there were not many photos taken. So here's just a few snapshot from the last few days - because a blog post without picture is just a big NO-NO!!!
