Honestly, when I heard about this wedding I kept all my fingers and toes crossed til they nearly dropped off because I wanted to go there so so badly.
And somehow things fell into the right places and me and Jamie travelled all the way to Frankfurt to shoot this magical wedding.
A pilot and a flight attendant - such a cliché and I didn't even know about it upfront.
Lucky them, or I would have come up with a lot of silly ideas ;-)
So yes, it's a cliché but they couldn't be more perfect for each other.
They both are so truly in love with each other - a smile here, a glance there... no words were needed, they just know what's on the others' mind....
Really I am not a writer - I wish so much I could put into words how it felt to be there,
to watch them enjoy every minute of their day, of celebrating their love.
It was truly and utterly a most spectacular and also fun day - I am so thankful and lucky for my job!

Kathi & Ben, I wish you all the happiness and love and everything you wish for in the world -
from the very bottom of my heart!

Now to business:
Here's your preview - a tiny bit bigger than usual but I just couldn't help it....
The "legal" bit:
The whole day took place at the amazing Romrod Castle - starting with their legal ceremony.
In the bridal suite:
The ceremony
Kathi had always dreamed of getting married outside and for a tiny minute she was quite disappointed when it was decided, that due to the very unstable weather the church ceremony had to be held indoors. But she's much too cool and cheerful and sweet to let that bother her for too long and the atmosphere there was still fabulous.
The bride father is a pastor and so he was the one giving his beautiful daughter away and also marrying her to Ben. I was prepared for lots of tears (not just on my side) but even though there were a few goosbump moments the main atmosphere was light and easy and happy and quite funny too.
Let them eat CAKE!!!!
after the big & delicious cake feast the wedding party:
was sent off to a tour of the castle and Bride, Groom Jamie and me spent some time on the gorgeous castle grounds to take
portraits just of the two of them:
The big FINALE before midnight:
Fireworks from the castle towers
May the saddest day of your future be no worse, than the happiest day of your past!
