Because he is too cute...

I have just finished editing J.'s newborn portraits and thought I'd share some more of them with you... he was such a sweet little man to work with and I am honestly sad that it is all over! There is something so special about working with such tiny little babies and I am honoured and thankful to all the parents who let me document this amazing time of their lifes!




Soeben bin ich mit der Ausarbeitung von J.'s Neugeborenen-Portraits fertig geworden und möchte noch ein paar von den Bildern mit Euch teilen... Er ist so ein süßer kleiner Schatz und ich bin ehrlich ein bisschen traurig, dass es schon vorbei ist! Die Arbeit mit so winzig kleinen Babies hat etwas Magisches. Ich bin den Eltern all dieser kleinen Personen dankbar und fühle mich geehrt, diese wundervolle Zeit ihres Lebens festhalten zu dürfen!

Es ist nicht lange bis zum nächsten "Sneak-Peek"... also schaut bald wieder rein ;-)

Übrigens....

...habe ich bis jetzt immer vergessen zu erwähnen, dass Ihr die lustigen Mützen zum Fotoshooting geschenkt bekommt!!!
Ich sitze meist den Abend vor der Baby- oder Kindersession und lass mir Ideen durch den Kopf gehen und stricke nebenbei (selbsterfundene) Mützen die am besten zu Euch passen (meiner Meinung nach zumindest). Somit habt Ihr eine nette Erinnerung, auf den Bildern etwas Persönliches und die Portraits selbst gewinnen mit handgestricktem an Charakter!

A little miracle...

Darf ich vorstellen:
Das kleine/große Wunder J. 8 Tage alt. Er ist unheimlich süß und weich und knuddelig! Am liebsten hätte ich den ganzen Tag mit ihm weitergearbeitet... :) Ich hoffe den stolzen Eltern gefällt die kleine Vorschau!








May I introduce a little/big miracle:
J, 8 days old. He is incredible sweet and cuddly and soft and I wish I could have stayed and worked with him all day long... :-) I hope the proud parents enjoy the little sneak peak!

A new family member...

Unfortunately I had to cancel todays family-photoshoot due to torrential rains and really cold weather... But I can introduce our new family member: Zoromir. Yes, normal families might get a cat or a dog - we get a dragon to keep us company ;-)

Leider musste das heutige Familien-Fotoshooting wegen des schrecklichen Wetters abgesagt werden. Aber zumindest kann ich Euch unser neues Familienmitglied vorstellen: Zoromir. Ja, normale Familien legen sich Katzen oder einen Hund zu, bei uns ists halt ein Drache der uns ab jetzt Gesellschaft leistet ;-)

A love for books

My name is Siegrid and I am a bookaholic...
Today I went to a bookshop. To buy a book for my mum's birthday tomorrow... Well, I then bought a book for myself (the time travellers wife) and for my boys too. And I am already hoping my mum will let me borrow the one I got her (the sequel to "chocolat")as soon as she has finished it. I just can't help it - when I see and smell books I have to have them. And when I borrow a book and like it I can't give it back. I end up buying it and giving the new one to the owner of the old one... Anyway my cousin made me a wonderful present with this beautiful ancient hand-crafted photo album - it dates back to around 1850 and was filled with all these wonderful old photographs... I can't wait to fill it with ones of my own children and who knows maybe in 150years time someone will find it at a flea market and wonder about the people on those photos too...
